It's freezing
And I don't care
Everywhere I go
I can't escape

As howling winds
Blow around me
From ear to ear
Screaming so loud

I wrap myself
In my coat
Fixing my scarf
Breathing the fresh air

Ice cold
As can be
With a patchy cloud
Above my head

Letting me know
All is not lost
Still got my wits
Not frozen yet

For that moment
A quiet conversation
Takes place
Ignoring the bitterness

Instead seeing
Light in that cloud
With a hidden message
Encouraging me to go for a ride

Ice cold
As can be
With debris kicking up
Hardly getting to my face

Which remains
In one piece
Like my heart
Beating fast

There I stand
Taking its best shot
As if in battle
My opponent mother nature

Urging me on
Not to give in
Wind communicating
Like laughing ghosts

Ice cold
As can be
With such a storm
Yet I don't yawn

I'm in
For the long haul
Take a lot more
To make me fall

Even cold ice
Can't stop
I won't slip
Holding rock steady

Passion burning
Fire from the chimney
Moving forward
From this challenge

Ice cold

With dreams incomplete
But I won't freeze

As the rain

Picks up in intensity

Flowing from the heavens up above

Yelling and screaming

For all to hear and see

Filled with intensity and misery

Painting such a dark cloud

Around this broken down town

Making ya wonder

If it shall ever pass

Mustn't let it win the day

A cold breath
Floating through the winter air
Wind blowing it your way

With a soothing message across
Letting ya know it's okay
Cause I'd never steer you wrong

You're much too good
For me anyway
And probably are scared

Of what you don't know
Which is understood
Like avoiding a dark corner

That's unknown
With a hidden path
You don't care to dissect

I can only promise
My intentions are as good
As the moon up above

Showing ya love
And painting those eyes
Magical crystal stars

That always attract
'Em left and right
For just a glimpse

And that smile
Filled with promise
Which makes us blush

As red as blood
Turning the insides
Of our heart

Racing faster and faster
On a racetrack
Where time is of the essence

Taking us back
To innocent adolescence
Every second counted

Putting me on the edge
Words wandering
Through my head

Like I danced
But to a different beat
Drawing me skyward

Talking to the heavens
Searching for answers
In unlikely places

Bringing me back to you
Who I always dug
Would give it all up

For one chance
Leaping into clouds
To complete a dreamy love
